For Jake and Megan’s engagement photos, we ended up running around Boise (or I should say biking around Boise). For a couple who calls Boise home, it was the perfect way to incorporate a few personal touches and a really fun urban vibe into their engagement photos in Boise.
One of the top pieces of advice I give to couples planning their engagement photos is to make them personal. When photographs are tied to personal experiences, memories, details, and feelings, they are so much for impactful long term. We planned a few personal touches, but as we biked and walked around Boise together, even more parts of their story together popped up. We ducked into a coffee shop as an ode to where they had their first date and even one of Megan’s outfits was something she wore to a significant event they attended together.
Megan and Jake have lived a lot of life together. As ideators and entrepreneurs, they’ve been business partners and adventurers. They are ‘up for anything’ kind of people. We picked locations and incorporated activities—some for the vibes, some for the fun, and some for the connections to their story.
We biked the streets around the Boise Capitol on their vintage bikes, walked around downtown Boise, grabbed coffee, and even stopped at a local drive-in. I love the way their engagement photos capture the fun they have together.

I’m Becky, a photographer based in Idaho. Being invited into the most personal celebrations and intimate stories is one of my greatest privileges as a photographer. I love photography because of the people. Camera in hand, I simultaneously get to know people and give them the gift of seeing a deeper part of themselves and the people they love. I believe in photographs that are evocative, nuanced, and personal, and I’d love to create some for you.

Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
