Nestled in the scenic Wood River Valley, Sun Valley delivers luxurious mountain views with a small town mountain feel. Think panoramic alpine views, charming lodges and venues that feel both intimate and upscale when you picture Sun Valley. Sun Valley is home to a world-class mountain resort. There’s never a bad time to be in Sun Valley: with snowy winters, spring wildflowers, warm summer days, and jaw dropping fall colors, Sun Valley is a beautiful location to get married any time of year. The best warm weather in Sun Valley is often June through September. Guests can stay at Sun Valley Resort or in the adjacent town of Ketchum. See some of my favorite Sun Valley wedding venues here.

Sun Valley is best accessed via Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) in Hailey, about 20 minutes from Ketchum, with Boise Airport (BOI) as a larger alternative for more flight options.

Stanley, Idaho is ideal for couples drawn to rugged mountain peaks and wide open skies. The iconic Sawtooth Mountains provide an unforgettable backdrop for a wedding. With an all inclusive ranch, stunning alpine lakes (Redfish Lake, Stanley Lake), incredible mountain views, and more, Stanley is hard to beat for couples who want a secluded outdoor experience. Late May through September usually bring the best weather for outdoor festivities with warm summer days and crisp high-country air.

Stanley sits at the gateway to the Sawtooth Mountains and doesn’t have a major commercial airport. Guests typically fly into Boise (BOI) or Hailey (SUN) and enjoy a scenic drive: 3 hour drive from Boise, 2 hour drive from Hailey.

Known for its lakeside charm and outdoor appeal, McCall is a standout destination for weddings in Idaho. Situated on Payette Lake with forested hills and mountain peaks all around, couples can choose from lakeside locations to mountaintop viewpoints. Explore Ponderosa State Park or stroll around the mountain town of McCall. The ideal months for a McCall wedding stretch from late spring through early fall, when hikes, boating, and scenic outdoor activities are at their best. For couples wanting a winter getaway, Shore Lodge has beautiful indoor wedding accommodations. See my favorite McCall wedding venues here.

Fly into Boise Airport (BOI) and enjoy the scenic drive north along Highway 55 (2.5 hour drive). Small private flights can use McCall Municipal Airport McCall Municipal Airport (MYL) for intimate groups.

Teton Valley offers a breathtaking mountain backdrop with views of the Tetons and a relaxed frontier charm. This region includes towns like Driggs and Victor, and is ideal for outdoor weddings that embrace sweeping landscapes and natural beauty. The most comfortable months for Teton Valley weddings are mid-May through September, when summer days are warm, wildflowers bloom, and couples and their guests can take advantage of outdoor activities.
While there isn’t a large commercial airport directly in Teton Valley, guests often fly into Boise Airport (BOI) (5 hour drive) or Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA) (about 1 hour drive) and enjoy a scenic drive to the valley; Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) in Wyoming (under an hour) is another viable option for some itineraries.
Coeur d’Alene is a premier lakeside wedding destination in northern Idaho, perfect for couples wanting beautiful water views. The city’s stunning Lake Coeur d’Alene and nearby resorts provide luxurious settings for both intimate and large weddings. Best weather months for weddings here are late spring through early fall, when mild temperatures and beautiful lake views make outdoor ceremonies particularly memorable.
Spokane International Airport (GEG) in Washington is the most convenient major airport for reaching Coeur d’Alene, just 45 minutes away.

As Idaho’s vibrant capital, Boise blends urban sophistication with scenic natural beauty. Located at the base of the Boise foothills with the Boise River running right through downtown, Boise is a beautiful blend of urban amenities and stunning landscapes. Boise’s beautiful wedding venues offer flexible options for ceremonies and receptions. The Boise foothills come alive with wildflowers in May and early summer. Sunny summer months lead to cool mornings with warm afternoons and amazing fall colors in the fall.

The city is served by Boise Airport (BOI), a major hub with flights from across the U.S., making travel easy for out-of-town guests.

I’m Becky, a photographer based in Idaho. Being invited into the most personal celebrations and intimate stories is one of my greatest privileges as a photographer. Beyond the amazing locations Idaho has to offer, I love photography because of the people. I believe in photographs that are evocative, nuanced, and personal, and I’d love to create some for you.

Wedding photography is my heartbeat. For me, it holds the perfect tension between creativity and authenticity, observation and connection. In front of my camera clients transform to friends, and behind it you'll usually find me tearing up, cheering you on, or holding my breath because of the raw goodness of the moment at hand.
