When Taylor and I chatted about her spring wedding day, she told me they were going for a “fall colors in the spring” vibe. There’s something so inviting about a fall day, and as fate would have it, Taylor and Matt’s spring wedding ended up feeling a bit like a fall wedding day over at The Cottage at Riverbend.
Light rain fell here and there during most of the morning hours as Taylor and Matt got ready with their loved ones inside the cottage. When they were ready and ready to see each other, we found a spot with some tree cover, brought along umbrellas, and kicked off the day under a cloudy spring sky.
Taylor and Matt have electric chemistry in a beautifully understated way. They aren’t flashy but they have the most fun together. Every time we interacted with them throughout the wedding process—engagement photos, phone calls, alongside them on their wedding day—I just kept thinking, they are going to live such a beautiful life together.
Light rain gave way to heavy rain through most of the evening, with a few small breaks that gave us time to steal a moment away down by the river before spending the rest of the night laughing and celebrating until the dance floor closed down.
